I love a good paranormal academy book. Especially when the academy is in Texas. Love when my home state is integrated into a book.
I found a lot of the twists to be predictable though out this book. Overall I enjoyed the characters and the world.

I’m absolutely left longing for more! This book is a great start to YA books making a comeback with a vengeance. It reads exactly like I hoped it would! A dark, atmospheric juvenile detention school for the paranormal, for those who act a little extra bad. Our main character is the daughter of the headmistress and has never left the secluded island off the coast of Texas where it is located. Clementine and Jude have great chemistry, yet the storyline is beautifully woven with secrets and confusion. I particularly enjoyed the hurricane aspect, considering I grew up in Florida; it DEFINITELY added a high level of stakes to the book, along with the twists and turns we experienced! I really loved this, and I think it’s a beautiful start to paranormal fantasy making a comeback!

I love Sweet Nightmare! It was definitely spookier than the Crave series with more scary monsters and more death.
I had all the emotions! I laughed, I cried, I was scared, and starry eyed!
I love Clementine. She is so sure of herself and feisty. And Jude is dark, mysterious, and dangerous. His different colored mesmerizing eyes and tattoos on his large body, yes please…. I just need him a little older! lol
I also love Izzy and Remy from Crave. Izzy is so bada$$ and makes me laugh out loud! I want more of her and can’t wait for Sweet Vengeance!
The magic (or lack there of when it’s on lock down) and the mystery of this book kept me on the edge of my seat! I love that it’s a standalone in that Clementine and Jude’s story is supposedly complete but the world will continue with the focus on other characters. I love the world Tracy created with the Crave series and how it’s continued through this series. I can’t wait for Sweet Chaos!

This was such a fast paced, engaging YA read. It was mostly urban fantasy, with hints of romance and a few horror elements. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I loved Jude and Clementine together. They had the cutest nicknames for each other, and the pining and longing was delightful. This book is full of danger, high stakes, twists and turns, and big surprises. You’ll be reeling by the time you make it to the end of the book. I can’t wait for the next one!
