Honestly I liked it, first half was really boring but I liked the second half- also hated every character except maybe Beaty but only cus he was kinda silly, like ik he’s the villain and he’s wrong but he was a funny guy. Also montag was so impulsive and stupid it was making me mad. Like oh he just discovers books and then had to act like it was his idea and him against everyone when in reality he was just dumb abt it and everyone else was smart abt it 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Dystopian Thriller, chill.

I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while since I didn’t read it in my high school English class like most people did. This is an intriguing and ominous story that is a warning for our current time, a warning against becoming absorbed in mindless wall-size TVs and a warning against anti-intellectualism and fearing literature. Our world does seem to be heading in that direction, so maybe more people should read this book...

The characters are compelling and the writing is quite intense and graphic at times. The only reason that I don’t give it 5 stars is because I didn’t always like the poetic interjections in the writing - especially repeating words several times. Just a personal preference, so I would highly recommend it!

I will be purchasing every copy of this book that I see at thrift stores from here on out, and leaving them in little free libraries.

It's not perfectly written, but it is astonishingly prescient.
