I loved that this was a romance where the main characters were so flawed with real issues. Hearing the author’s backstory to the book made it even more touching.

A very sweet love story that shows how love shows up in unique ways. I was hooked on this bike immediately, the writing is fabulous and the characters are so loveable you can’t help from wanting to read another page to hear more about them.
I did think it got a bit long winded around the 300 page mark with the established classic rom-com theme of misunderstanding because no one is communicating properly. But it’s worth pushing through! this book is a sweet, beautiful, heartwarming, and has a happy ending!

I picked up Yours Truly from my library on a whim, and I am so incredibly happy that I did. This was such a beautiful, love-affirming novel, with amazing anxiety representation (mmc). To say I felt seen would be an understatement. For fans of Emily Henry, or, you know, anyone with a pulse, I would highly, highly recommend. I cannot wait to read the rest of the author’s backlist.
The unexpected pregnancy trope is never something I enjoy, but I thought the author handled it well!

I always enjoy Abby Jimenez‘s work. This was no different. She is so incredibly funny, but is also able to discuss really sensitive topics in a way that feels real, but not so real that I am overwhelmed. My only complaint is that she is good at writing sex scenes— I just wish there were more! I think I heard in an interview that she might either not like to do it or is worried about it, but she’s good at it!

I come back to her work because of her characters. There is always a lot of humor and love in the side characters and it’s so fantastic. Already pre-ordered the next one haha

i preferred this one to Part of Your World but I guess because PoYW is the first one it's a favorite and this one for some reason isn't? maybe it's because i was expecting it to be good and it delivered while the 1st one i was waiting for to disappoint me (which it didn't). i think i prefer this one because it's a slow burn and not very smutty
80% of the book to get a kiss and a hookup? i love it. + there's only one sex scene.
- i hate it in romance when as soon as the sex happens, it's all they can think or talk about or do... but this one isn't like that! and it also had a miscommunication trope which i used to hate but i like it when this author does it?
also, it felt really good to spend time with these characters, they are fun but also fleshed out. i feel like anxiety was handled so well, as well as depression.

This is now one of my all time favorite books. I went through every single emotion, with a bunch of sad and happy tears. I saw so much of myself in Briana, and saw a lot of my partner in Jacob, so it’s unsurprising that he’s just joined my list of favorite MMCs. His POV is romantic and relatable and what every hetero woman would hope their partner is thinking about them. I listened to this on audiobook, and I am not an annotator, but I will most definitely be purchasing the physical book just so I can highlight some of Jacob’s quotes. I feel so connected to both him and Briana.
Abby Jimenez’s Yours Truly is well-paced, modern, relatable, and fully fleshed out - you’ll have no questions and “what ifs” at the end of this. Her author’s note at the end was the perfect bow on top of this heart wrenching and heart warming story, and I cannot wait to read it again later.
