If I had a nickel for every horror book written by Hispanic men that involve the death of a child as a major focal point I’d have two nickels… which isn’t a lot by it’s weird that it happened twice ?!?? (Other book being the Devil Takes You Home)

I really enjoyed the beginning the beginning of this book. Magos was a deeply interesting character and I may be biased because I myself am also a Mexican mother. But once we started switching characters it kind of lost its magic. I think I was too invested in Magos and didn’t care much for anyone else.

This book was also strangely very sexual which was odd ? Anyways 3 stars for Magos
