If you are looking for a naive FMC in need of a burly dating coach kind of book then this is perfect for you. Will has many issues to work through emotionally but what a man. Annie is dying to unleash the woman she is on the inside out. Will is ready to teach her to live out loud.

It was fun seeing Amelia and Noah again throughout the book along with other memorable Rome Kentucky characters.

I would recommend for anyone wanting a closed door meddling small town (think Stars Hollow) romance.

If a hallmark movie was a book, this would be it. This book was overflowing with cliches and was predictable from the get go. However, if you can accept that from the beginning and take it for what it is… it was an enjoyable little rom com.
My main issue was the sheer number of ridiculous things we are just meant to accept as normal and ignore the plot holes.
For example Alexia being a pop star, who just so happens do have met Annie’s brother and is now her best friend and despite having a bodyguard… nothing ever happens?

And Will taking all of the secret photos of times Annie looks lovely .. and then never shows them to her or brings it up in anyway… where was the payoff? What was the point?

Anyway, aside from all these things .. I read this super fast and really did enjoy it. Would I really it? Probably not unless you’re a sucker for a hallmark movie type story.

For the first few chapters of this book I thought I was in for a a solid 3-star read. Then it surprised me with both the main characters - Annie and Will - getting deeper and more complex. I like romances when the characters spend a lot of time together, they are self-aware, and the dialogue is smart and fun. This ticks all of those boxes.

It also got funnier as it went along and a couple of the side characters grew on me (Noah and Mabel).

The dual POV works well and swoony scenes abound. I enjoyed this book!
