Practice Makes Perfect is the kind of romance that wraps around your heart and refuses to let go. Sarah absolutely nailed the sweet, slow-burn tension with characters who are tender, awkward, and totally lovable. This book is a masterclass in wholesome chemistry and emotional vulnerability.
The fake dating trope? Flawlessly done. Their dynamic is so heartwarming it made me want to hug a pillow and squeal. It’s about learning to love, trust, and take up space in someone’s life, and it’s handled with such care and charm.
I gave it 5 stars because it made me laugh, tear up, and believe in love all over again. It’s cozy without being boring, romantic without being over-the-top, and just the right amount of spicy for a comfort read. If you’re into gentle romances with big emotional payoffs, this one’s a gem.

thank you to my flatmates for not evicting me while I gushed about the small-town-girl-who-wants-a-serious-relationship-meets-playboy-bodyguard romance novel I was reading while they tried to study.

now to read the other book in the series...

Its been a long time since I’ve shipped a couple as much as Annie and Will but OMG they were absolutely perfect for each other. I have read from Sarah Adams before so I knew I liked her writing but I LOVED it in this. The dialogue between the two characters was perfect. A great mix of banter and humor but also so many conversations with feelings and working through their own insecurity's.

I fell in love with Annie and her thoughts and feelings immediately. I think she is such a relatable character with how she feels about the town and her family constantly putting her in the same box. Listening to her find herself and her voice was such a rewarding and slightly emotional experience. I honestly loved her so much I could read a book with solely her in.

But Will deserves a mention so lets talk about his ability to communicate, the fact he always told Annie to be true to herself and his gorgeous tattoos because a cheeky little tattoo will always get me.

Favourite scene - the grocery shop chapter. Those two wandering around throwing stuff in each others baskets was perfect! I need more Annie and Will in my life.
