can i just say this was a MONSTER of a book. bUT I FINISHED HER.
okay, so overall - i did like some aspects of this book. great spice, i giggled at a couple jokes, good fluff that made my heart swollen, and i love my fierce, confident, independent heroine.

but despite the redeeming and positive qualities - i don't know why but i just did not develop any attachment to these characters. i didn't get to know them besides just the surface level of yep - grumpy boss x sunshine assistant. WHICH I LOVE THAT TROPE DO NOT GET ME WRONG. additionally, for characters that were meant to be in their 30s-40s, they sure acted like people i grew up with in our teens to be honest.

ugh, unfortunately the miscommunication trope made an appearance once again. it was not written in a way that i found enjoyable, but it was enough for me to no longer root for the couple.

overall - it was 3/5 and just okay for me. and that's honestly all i can really conclude with after reading this book.

ew no thank you

yikes!

Başka bir kendi ayaklarının üzerinde duran güçlü kadın hikayesi . Ally girl her şeyde mükemmelsin kırıldığında bile sınırını korumana hayran kaldım .

Dom you're liar, liar....

4.7⭐️! Sexy and sweet and funny and so entertaining! I was surprised how long it was but the author kept it fun the whole time while also touching on some pretty deep topics. Suuuuper slow burn which is *chefs kiss* I really enjoyed this

Yessss

3.75 stars

I liked this more than the other book I've read by the author, I think it was less insta lovey than Maggie Moves On. It made me excited to read No More Secrets, another book I've picked up by Lucy Score.

I generally liked the plot and the humor, but there were times when I really just didn't like Dominic. There were times he was too possessive for my tastes and I would've felt uncomfortable, but I think later scenes mostly balanced it out.

I stayed up till 5 AM trying to finish this… I absolutely loved this book, but some of the themes screamed millennial-core and it lost a star for that! CHAPTER 24!
slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

I almost DNFed this SEVERAL times, the earliest being on page THIRTY SEVEN (The line “Her heritage looked like it was somewhere in the Indigenous meets Japanese range.” genuinely made me want to give up)

It was nice to see Ally and Dalessandra put Dominic in his place (which was more than deserved btw. He’s awful until pretty much the last 30 ish pages). There were also a handful of quotes that I liked. As a whole though, this was NOT worth it.

this was a beautiful slow sassy burn with a spicy end. I
