Okay WOW!? I did not expect to love this as much as I did - I hadnt heard about much at all before reading and the cover didnt really seem intriguing to me but a friend recommended it and I’m so glad I give a try! It pulled me in so fast. Sometimes I feel like enemies to lovers in contemporary books are so weird bc it’s like at your grown age your acting like that but in this it actually made sense and they had a reason to be enemies which I loved. The two of them had great chemistry and a really great emotional connection too. It’s office romance, grumpy/sunshine, banter, slow burn, rich x poor, heartwarming AND HAS A CARETAKING SCENE

I feel like if you love the movie the devil wears Prada or the series the bold type you will love this

Ok I love that he is grumpy and she is snarky. The dialogue between these 2 is hilarious. I hate the strip club scene, thought is was lame and made no sense. It was NOT hot and to made no sense for the arc of the story. Would have been a 5 if not for this scene.

I really enjoyed this! I got it after seeing a few recs on Tik Tok and I wasn’t disappointed. I loved Ally’s character. She was so funny and an absolute disaster all at the same time.
There were several scenes that slowed down the plot. I would have been fine with those being taken out and I could have done without the pregnancy trope at the end. I absolutely loved the fact that Dom “went every day until it was a good day” to get her dads blessing though.

3 ⭐️

It was supposed to be like a rom com movie, but with their ages i would’ve preferred them to act more mature. Nevertheless it was a cute quick read. Ended up skimming quite a lot.
