This premise hooked me immediately. Time-traveling historians doing hands-on research, an evil organization from the future trying to interfere with "the timeline" . . . and hi jinx ensure. This was fast moving and high on action but low on character development. There was so much potential for depth here, but it was mostly fluff. The narrator did a pretty good job - she nailed the dry humor, but the pacing of the production seemed rushed. I enjoyed it enough to keep listening, but I was hoping for more!

Jumbled, full of plot holes, and the romance plot makes absolutely no sense. I was literally in my car shouting WTF at the radio. The excellent audiobook reader was the only thing that got me through it, that and wanting to see if there was some explanation for the love interest’s behavior (there wasn’t).

I loved this book so much. I loved all the feelings it evoked in me. Fear and rage and sheer wonder. I highly recommend this book.
