I've been looking for a story like this for several years. One that I couldn't put down. It's interesting on so many levels: the quirky characters, the historical references, the action and interaction just kept me wanting more. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and have already downloaded the second in the series.
I like this series. It is fun and fast.
The characters are great and funny. The plotholes are there but I couldn't care less.
I love this book anyway.

First of all, the TITLE - it is (unfortunately) so damned apt for now, what's not to like! ;-) Second of all, the STORY - it is a wild, non-stop (well, there are a few breathers) romp through time, love, history, good guys and bad guys…exactly the type of enjoyable, get-into-it escapism/summer read (I am certain also a winter read, great for chasing away the winter blahs) that is necessary for maintaining equilibrium.
I read plenty of history, biography and autobiography, as well as fiction, fantasy and sci-fi, and always appreciate a good fantasy romp such as this one, recommended by Debbie Wing. This is book #1 in a series of Chronicles, and book #2 is already sitting on my nightstand. In between though, Circe by Madeline Miller awaits.

Starts off quite light hearted but then gets a bit grim, but is always entertaining.
I didn't lie, to say "I've finished it"... is not to say that I read it completely... perhaps more "I'm finished with it" is more accurate... I bought this book based on the description of a sort of fun time travel romp... which it sort of was, but I should have seen the writing on the time wall... smart sassy, capable independent woman joins Hogwarts for time travellers and is surrounded by interesting sexy men.... and notices them in that way... hmmm.... ok, read on... about half way through there is a toe curlingly very descriptive sex scene... one finger or two? kind of detail.. ah, somehow I am in that section of kobo's fyp... not that I've purchased fanasy erotica romance before, but hey there is apparently a first time... so, 3 stars for ok writing "if you are in to this sort of thing"... not good enough plot or writing to keep me on board though... pass... now, can anyone help me with getting kobo to stop recommending the next in the series?
Delightful time travel adventures. Too bad the interest is not more global.
It seemed slow and rushed at the same time. I liked the premise but some of the conflict was weirdly introduced and/or resolved. I read this slowly because the tension building was good and I didn’t want to know what terrible things were in store for the characters.
The ending felt rushed, and the loose ends quickly tied up. I hope the sequels are written in the voices of other characters since it would be nice to hear their points of view.

3.5. Sometimes I loved this book and thought that it was brilliant and funny. Then, other parts I found down-right boring. I found myself skimming a few parts to keep the story moving.
