Loved it!

This book was a great read. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment reading this and now I am slightly disappointed the story has come to end.

I bought this book on a whim and the let it collect dust in my e-library because I thought it might be a little too interlectual - full of Legal jargon and procedure however it isn't at all. It's a great read. Honestly I don't tend to leave book reviews but I felt I definitely neededs to recommend this book because how much I enjoyed. I'm looking forward to read more from John Grisham.

Now this is a John Grisham book! Felt like some of the classics, one of the very few late-model books that I think could actually be adapted into a great movie. Cast: Steve Carell as Wally Figg; Oliver Platt as Oscar Finley; and Jake Johnson as David Zinc.

This novel details the amazing efforts of a boutique law firm in actually working to perform legal activities, we have always had the experience that it is our responsibility to do the work that we pay the lawyers to perform! It is satisfying, in particular, when a side issue of a lead poisoning case from a toy is successfully resolved.

Had a slow start, and a predictable but fun ending. Summer diversion read.

It's been years since I read a Grisham book, and now I've read two in a row. I really like this one -- it's a hoot.

It's John Grisham - of course I liked it! An interesting twist. I probably would have been complaining (due to predictability) if the underdog had pulled through at the end, but it seemed wrong to try a trial knowing your going to lose. It's a shame this probably happens quite often...

I have liked almost all of the books I have read written by Grisham.
I particularly liked this one as it is more fun and softer. It still deals with all the intyricacies of a legal cause, but the portrait of the small firm and of its unlikely lawyers is really endearing and I guess very close to the reality of many such a small firms.
Well done, definitely a book I'll recommend

Typical John Grisham, entertaining, easy to read, interesting story line with a nice twist.
funny hopeful informative inspiring tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

My first Grisham novel, this story was an enjoyable page turner. I cared about the outcomes of the cases, I rooted for the good guys, and the various interwoven plot lines came together in the end. Only real negative note is that you can sense when you aren’t the audience for a story, and I don’t believe I am the target Grisham audience, so some of the “humor” and descriptions read to me like thinly veiled misogyny and outright fat phobia.

I'll be honest....it's been years since I've read a John Grisham novel, and as I finish the final few pages of The Litigators I find myself asking, "What the hell was that??" Like many popular authors who've enjoyed massive success during the early years of their career, the quality of the "Grisham" novel seems to have waned over time.

Gone is the nail biting, edge-of-your-seat suspense of early works like The Firm and The Pelican Brief as today's Grisham novel can best be described as a 'dramatic renderings of courtroom trials'. Filled with boring technical scenes filled with 'legal-ise' and peppered with a few humorous moments, all 386 pages of this book turned into a sheer test of strength and endurance as I struggled to finish this snoozer.
