This was fine. I liked the dynamic between the besties as they worked to dismantle a decades old curse. The magic was fine, the spooky factor was not on par with other books by this author. The writing was good. The audiobook was well done.

I picked this up because it seemed to have a similar vibe to a book that I LOVE - Night Film by Marisha Pessl. It was good, but I kept expecting it to get better and it just ... didn't.
