It's been a while since I last indulged in an Alexis Hall novel, which led to a mini binge! Hall is great at crafting ridiculous yet everyday romances that can make the reader both laugh and cry, and have you rooting for characters who are quite often arseholes. This particular book endeared me to both the protagonist - clinically depressed and reclusive writer Ash - and the flashy full-of-life Essex boy Darian. The mental health rep here was really welcome and it was easy to get swept up into the relationship, despite Ash's self destructive tendencies. Very enjoyable.
