A simple yet beautiful end to such an amazing series. The Trylle Trilogy is one in which will stay with me for a long time- and I'm glad that I decided to stick with the series to the end♡

I think that was a good ending to a trilogy very complete

I never really thought I'd miss Wendy and the rest of the characters as much as I do. I finished the book and went "That's it? Did I just say goodbye to these characters?". I loved the mini story after the end of the book. I was happy to see Finn end up with someone in the end. I would love to revisit these guys in the near future, but for now I must just relive the adventure we had.

This series has just continued to get better and better with every book. I enjoyed the first book but after reading this one, I've fallen completely head over heels in love with this world, these characters, the history, and the writing style! I'm so sad to see that it's over but at least I can comfort myself with the thought that I can reread these books whenever I like!

Wendy has gone through so much character growth since the first book and I absolutely love her for it. Her new maturity and wisdom is just awesome. It has shifted the way she looks at her world and for the better, I think! She's so much deeper and selfless now. She will do anything to protect her people and I really admired her for that. Throughout the entire book, no matter what she was going through or what craziness was happening with those around her, she kept a level head and stayed locked on her goals. And that's not to say that she never had any slip ups. She was a very realistic character with all the flaws and faults that come with that.

The secondary characters were also amazing. I enjoyed getting to know Elora a lot more in this book. We're provided insight into how life is for her and why she acts the way she acts. Before learning what I did, I basically hated her. But now I have only respect and love for her! She's so strong and selfless! Loki, Tove, Garth, and Finn were also great. I adored the times when we saw Loki and Wendy together and I thought Tove and Garth held their own in this story, too. Finn, while I always wanted him to go away, never annoyed me for any major reasons (besides not being Loki). He grew up a lot from the last book to this one.

The world was great and I was super excited that we got to see even more of it than before. It's so amazing how all of these little colonies exist and thrive as one community. The history was also very well thought out and presented. It complimented and made sense with the story and contributed a lot to what was happening in the book as this story was unfolding.

This was a beautiful way to close the series and I was happy with how everything ended. We got all the closure we needed and all the loose ends were tied up perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

~5 monarchs that I love and love to hate ~
Oh my word! I LOVED this trilogy. So much. The story, the magic, the characters, just great. This trilogy also has one of the BEST conclusions that I have read in a long time.

Book 1 for the #xmasbooktubeathon complete.

Ascend, the third book in this series did not disappoint. I really enjoy Amanda Hocking’s writing style. I’m not sure what it is but I am captivated by it and it is never unsatisfying. I think Hocking did a good job tying up this trilogy without it seeming forced or too simple. Wendy had to face her father and was able to defeat him and protect her family. One thing that bothered me just from a practical standpoint was the lack of true casualties. While I understand they have healers, it would have been more realistic to have more casualties.

I’m very happy with how this book went and it was another quick read for me. While these books are not amazing, they are incredible enjoyable and that is why I have given them such high ratings. This is a solid trilogy about trolls. And the trolls alone was enough to entice me when reading this series. The writing style was an added bonus.

This is a short review but since it is the last book in the trilogy I do not want to spoil anything for anyone.

This series is amazing. I can't believe I waited so long to read this!

This was definitely the worst one in the series. None of these are written well, but this one was literally just sentence after sentence saying what rooms people walked into and what they said, followed by a sentence on how that made Wendy feel. The writing style is just so bad.

The plot itself is still "what if Princess Diaries happened but to a troll princess surrounded by guys she's into who love her for no apparent reason." It's exactly as bad as that makes it sounds.

Great book!

I can't believe it's over... I got list in their world and now it's over. I'm so unsatisfied. I want more!!! ❤
