I have one BIG problem with this book: what happened to our Finn & Wendy happy ever after????? How can you write three books about their forbidden feelings for each other and the conflict between love and duty and not actually revolve this issue?! Why not think of a way to change the class system and let Wendy make the kingdom more equal? Now that would have been an ending! I really do not get it. I would have been okay with her ending with Tove out of duty and for her people, but Loki?! When did he become a contestant? Her "relationship" with him came out of nowhere, as did their sudden connection and attraction to each other... It was never developed and does not make any sense. If anything, it was ridiculously convenient for her to simply "fall" for a guy from the enemy's kingdom in a couple of pages. I have never cared so much about two people getting together in a book nor have I ever been so bitterly disappointed by the ending of a series. This totally ruined it for me.

I absolutely loved this book! I personally loved the ended where there was a big fight between the Vittra ad the Trylle and then the King of Vittra (Wendy's father) gets his head cut off and then that ends the old century's war. At the very end Wendy and Loki get married and are going to have a child together....I wish Amanda would write a short story about the child lol. I LOVED THIS BOOK!

Probably will write a review on my blog. Here's the link: http://areadinggirly.blogspot.com/

Well that was anticlimactic.

What is there left to say other than it’s trash and I love it.

Loved it!

I remember almost nothing that happens in this book aside from the fact that late in it adultery happens and the epilogue is about her raising her and the hot fae guy’s love child.

2.5 stars

I liked the series, but was kind of over it by book 3. Some of the character dialogue wasn't very believable (i.e. "We're both neat people." Who talks like that?). Also, setting up a series about a troll population sounds very promising, but in the end, there wasn't a whole to distinguish this group from any other supernatural group. At the end of book 3, the author includes a glossary that gives information about the different troll populations (one tribe can breathe under water!). It would have been nice if she could have included all of those interesting descriptions into the story somehow.
