A Great Reckoning

Louise Penny

4.34 AVERAGE

Really liked how this book brought so many old threads together without that being the main focus of the book.

In my dedication to one sentence reviews this year, I think all I need to say is that it was another fun Louise Penny.

Definitely will need to listen to this again. Multi-plots, maps and missing towns!!!!

Another fun character exploration

I love Louise Penny's Inspector Gamache novels. In the beginning, the stories were a bit like English Cosy mysteries, but each book built on the others. The characters gained depth, each with their own separate brand of wisdom or vision. And the "mystery of the day" is always well-wrought, and intricately woven into the recurring characters' lives. This last book is another notch on a brilliant belt!

a near perfect installment in the Three Pines series

4.5 stars. This installment is by far my favorite in the series to date. I'm not one to tear up reading a book, but this one definitely got me. SO good.
