I love a cute little romance, even when predictable but this book took a little too long to get there for me. The first 3/4 felt like a filler and not much happened. The last quarter the speed picked up a bit and things started happening, but the twists and turns came quick and the story moved on from them quick, on to the next. Parts of the story didn’t feel wrapped up and I wanted more from the events of the last quarter. A simplistic, enjoyable read but nothing special unfortunately

The most heart-touching ‘fluffy’ romance I’ve read in a long time. From the blurb and cover of The Handover, it leads you to believe you’re going to read a cliche enemies to lovers story. To my pleasant surprise, The Handover explores trauma in the most wonderful way. David M.Barnett delves into Nate and Daisy’s traumas and how it affects not only their everyday lives, but also their romantic lives. It was beautiful to watch Nate and Daisy come to terms with their trauma and also find peace within it - together.
