enjoyable read, really cool idea about how the world would change if death cast existed. some parts were slow and it felt like forever before I got through them. wasn’t as emotional or heart wrenching as I’d hoped, but good story

The cover doesn’t lie.
But seriously, it’s not a bad book, but after you’ve actually read the end there’s no point in rereading it.

This is the fastest I have ever read a book that was over 300 pages.
Also, if you wanna cry or just read a really good heartbreaking story, this is the book you’ll need to read.
So touching and inspiring. I fell madly in love with all of the characters (especially Mateo and Rufus)
Mateo reminded me a lot of my friend, Josefine. So that made me even more sad HAHA.
Even though I was told I was gonna cry, I didn’t… I only shed a little tear.
The book was very well written and all the details were so well described. A little too YA, but the love between Rufus and Mateo made up for it.
4/5 starts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What does it mean to be alive? How do you live your entire lifetime in a day?
Such poignant writing, cleverly executed plot and story telling. This book will hurt you in the best possible ways, and even the ending was much less painful and more tender than I expected. And I fell in love with Mateo and Rufus's journey, how they discovered themselves, how they truly learnt how to connect with someone else and become a better version of themselves – even if it was on their last day alive.
I must admit the first dozen pages were less enjoyable than the rest of the novel but once you got a hang of it everything falls into place and you're in for a remarkable, wonderful journey.
This book also confirms my belief: people fall in love not because they find each other hot. They fall in love because of emotional connection. There are tons of ways to have that connection, and all it takes is to put yourself out there, be kind, be yourself, and everything will only be better from there.
