I'll come back and edit this when I have more time, but for now I'm just going to say that this read more like autobiographical fan fiction than a memoir. The childhood parts were interesting enough but also deeply cliché. I was initially intrigued by the way she frames sociopathy as a form of neurodivergence but thought it was weird she made it to the end without ever actually using the word, just "emotional learning disorder." I dug through google scholar looking up "sociopathy and anxiety and apathy" and couldn't find any dissertations or research written in the last 20 years that matched the research she said she was doing, though. Not sure what to make of that. Other reviewers sure seem convinced she's a hoax.
Found some parts of this absolutely fascinating, while other parts felt repetitive and dragged. It did also partly feel like the author was trying to convince herself as well as us that she is a good person? I have chosen not to look into Gagne not being who she claims as I feel that will ruin it for me.
