hands down my new favorite amanda lovelace poetry collection. i lowkey cried while reading this one. as someone who isn't completely interested in marrying or having children, this made me feel so seen. this is a collection that i will be passing to my sister to read so she can also feel empowered also. also, the illustrations in this were GORGEOUS!!!

I'm a big fan of Amanda Lovelace's work. I've read several titles by her the last few years. This is my first audiobook title from her. It was very interesting to be able to hear Lovelace's words in her own voice. It did add another element to the storytelling and you could really feel the emotion she puts into her words.

A beautiful work as always! Lovelace has a knack for writing words to empower women. Her mix of prose and modern fairytale elements is what every woman needs when they are not feeling like their true warrior self.

Not as good as break your glass slippers but still a beautiful collection, especially because I love the way the author plays with stories and fairy tales and concepts of magic.
