This was very much a filler book. I feel like nothing really happened until the last 30 pages of the book.
Nikolai was the shining star of the book. I love him so so much.
I can’t stand Mal. At all. And it really bugs me that it seems like Alina is going to end up with Mal at the end of all this. I don’t want it

Sadly, considering how much I love the Six of Crows series, I have to DNF this one. Alina and Mal are two of the most boring characters I've ever encountered, and even the delight that is Sturmhond/ Nikolas can't keep me engaged.

I'll love Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom forever, but this series just is never going to hook me.
