I have read enough insta love, boss/employee "can't be together", and large close family books that I have less patience now for ones I don't like. This book was so far from what I expected. I had to start skimming at one point just to get it finished. For me there was no chemistry between the main characters. The banter felt forced and any build of the relationship was skipped. They jumped right into what I would consider sexual harassment. Even though it is cliche I expected more tension with the aspect of their attraction that they are unable to act on. There was almost none of that.

This plays into one of my pet peeves with some books of show don't tell. This is very much a tell book. They very actively flirted with each other in and out of the office. Ava talked about how she didn't want to lose her job over a man but all the actions contradicted it and Sebastian pretty much ignored it (not in a forceful way but in a I will flirt until you give in to your desires). The chemistry and banter was so bad at one point I wondered if they had ever had any romantic flirty interactions before. I wish the characters were simplified and they showed me how they care instead of talking and describing it all the time. And I would love if Ava was more of the strong independent person she claimed to be who would not jeopardize her career as cavalierly as she did. There was almost no hesitation to jeopardize all that she had worked for.

This makes the book seem probably worse than it is but I am just getting tired of these kind of stories. The reason I read this is because I got it free on my kindle. But the more of these types of stories and characters I read about the less I can tolerate them.

Una lectura muy ligera y rápida, lo disfruté mucho

To be honest this book gave me deja by. It’s not that the book is bad just rather unremarkable or forgettable to me. Sebastian is this alpha CEO but in a small twist has a loving, caring family. Ava is this strong, independent, all alone in the world women who is consulting for 4 months at his company. She’s not allowed to date him but of course she does. It’s the typical hot and bothered love scenes with lots of alpha. She pushes back in their everyday lives but likes when he’s bossy. He had this poor me I can’t find a woman who wants me for me, just my purse strings. Yet what is he CONSTANTLY trying to do? You guessed it, buy Ava’s affections. Of course that’s really not what he’s doin, he’s just trying to spoil her but still if that is a concern or fear of yours why perpetuate that cycle by doing the same thing with Ava. Overall it was alright.

This is going to be a very short review and not because I disliked the book, but because I don't have a lot to say.

It was exactly what I was expecting: cute, easy, fast and it took me just a few hours to devour it. It's exactly the light and fluffy read that you can pick up after a hard day or in the weekend and let yourself relax. It won't make you think too much and also due to the writing style and the characters you feel like very fuzzy afterwards.

Your Irresistible Love is the type of book that doesn't deal with serious stuff and you just have two people that are attracted to each other, without too much drama and cheating and I don't know what else authors thtow in their books to make them longer and eventful, that are honest with themselves and with the other one, and they just live their life.

Don't read this expecting too be deep and thoughtful, with tons of emotions and tears, because to me it was a very happy and warm read, that you can enjoy with a chocolate or a cup of tea or hot chocolate around. Yes, it is a good book, the characters are very cute and funny, their relationship is somehow straight forward, as I said no drama, and if you don't expect a plot full of twists and turns you'll like it.

I recommend this as a summer read or now when it is cold and you want something short and light to warm you up and make you feel lovely and fuzzy inside. And also, it goes very well between heavier books or if you have exams, because this novel is a fluffy, chubby and adorabilicious *yes, I invented a new word* cloud. And it needs love!
