Three and a half stars

Going through a smutty romance phase. This book didn't disappoint. I liked Sebastian's relationship with his family and the strong bond with his siblings (not something you usually see in romances like this), and Ava was a great protagonist.

I bought this book as a recommendation in a book club, but 10% in I know it’s not going to work for me. No build up with characters, forced situation, and I’m already bored. Unfortunately I won’t be reading more of this series

I had some issues with the writing and the structure of the chapters. The story was typical, but I liked that the characters weren't oblivious to their feelings as they are often in a lot of romance novels.

Cute but not amazing. Word choices were a bit odd. The way she used "unhitched" drove me crazy. But did like this.

Merged review:

After reading the fourth and fifth book in Hagen's Bennett Family series, I decided to read the book that began the series. Your Irresistible Love by Layla Hagen was a bit of a struggle to get into, but I did ultimately enjoy it.

Your Irresistible Love is bout eldest Bennett sibling, Sebastian. Sebastian is the CEO of Bennett Enterprises, a business that he built from the ground up. As they get near the launch of their jewelry line, they hire and independent marketing consultant to make it extra special. They are both ridiculously attracted to each other, but Ava's company has a strict no fraternizing policy, and Sebastian has some of his own issues to deal with.

Something I've enjoyed about the Bennett Family books I've read so far, is that the hero and heroine are always very nice people and that there is pretty low angst. Sebastian was definitely a guy I liked. Although Bennett Enterprises is super successful now, Sebastian built the company from the ground up. And he's still working very hard today, even though he's already become very wealthy. Sebastian loves her family deeply, and he's all around a nice guy. And when he meets Ava, he can't deny that he is extremely attracted to her.

Ava job has her working all over the world. Her home base New York, though, and she's been desperately saving her money to own a place of her own. She's also very hard working, and very good at her job. Ava is also very attracted to Sebastian, but her boss has a very strict policy about getting involved with clients. But, of course, Ava and Sebastian can't resist each other.

Ava and Sebastian made a great couple. They definitely had chemistry, and it was clear that their individual personalities were a good fit. They each work very hard, but are also very kind and caring. I loved seeing Sebastian's family adopt Ava into their group, and how much Ava really appreciated that.

However, as with Your Tempting Love, some of the banter didn't work for me. It didn't feel natural, and often felt too forced. Some of the word choices were a bit peculiar, as well. As with all the books I've read by Hagen, she uses the word "unhitched" in a way that I do not like. It's totally a personal preference here, and honestly something rather small, but overtime she used that word, it pulled me out of the story.

Although I didn't love Your Irresistible Love by Layla Hagen, it was a good read. I definitely want to read more in this series. This review was originally posted on Quinn's Book Nook

I’m pretty positive I’ve read this book before but I guess I didn’t annotate it.  Realized it about 25% and decided to continue on anyways. Easy read/listen with some drama but it was written realistically and resolved quickly.  Glad I listened again.  Via Hoopla.

I didn't hate it. I just didn't like it all that much. I barely managed to finish it. The characters were a little too...everything. Too perfect. Too good looking. Too rich. Too insta love. I just wasn't buying it. Not enough struggle or angst for me, and generally I am angst-light in my preferences so it's actually something for there not to be enough of it IMO.
The premise sounded good and I liked the idea that there would be a series. I like books in series. But I felt so blah about this one that 18 months on I have yet to get the next one.
