Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture who gave me an ARC of 'Lost Girls' in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, I didn't think Angela Marsons DI Kim Stone series could get any better, but she really has outdone herself here. A fabulous and fast paced thriller with a tight plot and twists and turns galore. Once started I could not put it down until the last page had been turned.

Although references to Kim's past are made throughout the novel, 'Lost Girls' could also be read as a standalone story if you haven't read the previous books in the series. The previous two books are so good, though, that I would urge you to read them as soon as you possibly can!

I don't give books a 5 star rating unless they have that special something that blows me away and 'Lost Girls' is most definitely one of those books for me. I look forward to reading more DI Kim Stone stories in the future.

A mind blowing 5 stars. Highly recommended.

Loved every single page of it. It was my first experience with Angela Marsons (I don't know why I didn't start from the Kim Stone Book 1, but after reading this one I will definitely become a big fan of the series, and I can't wait to get to know Kim more !). The plot was amazing and the descriptions were incredible, sometimes even too realistic (very very graphic so be careful!), but I still handled it pretty well. 5 stars <3

This was definitely a gripping story, and I was extremely concerned for both Charlie and Amy. I really loved the way the story flowed and it definitely got me feeling all of the tension!

Oh my. What a premise!

"Two girls go missing. Only one will return.

The couple that offers the highest amount will see their daughter again. The losing couple will not. Make no mistake. One child will die".

I'm struggling to think of anything worse.

Angela Marsons just goes from strength to strength. By now, I'd usually expecting a series to be feeling slightly 'cold' but on the contrary, Marsons seem to just get hotter.

This story hooks you from the first page and absolutely will not let go. It is paced and plotted perfectly with great insight - particularly into psychology.

I loved it and have just bought the fourth in the series.

Where do I even begin? Book three into this series and it just keeps getting better and better doesn’t it? I am blown away and absolutely loving this series.
This case is a hard hitting one which relates to a similar case in the past, all containing children. As a parent these types of stories hit me even harder than ones without children involved, I can relate to the parents more. But OMG! Kim! That woman is sure a hero isn’t she? Always putting others first and even her own life on the line. It had my heart pounding, I was on the edge throughout and gasping for breathe towards the end. Those poor girls. A great outcome… A great result. A great team. A very twisted, cruel and unexpected suspect is found to be involved!
You know when you find a great series on Netflix and binge it? That’s what this series is like for me I want to race through them all and enjoy them, but at the same time I don’t cause what will I do without Kim and her team? Its addictive. I think these books would make a cracking tv series. One of the best series I’ve ever read so far. Very impressed.
I wonder what book four will bring… Oooh. I awarded a well deserved five stars and would highly recommend to you all…

I have to admit I did not think this series could get any better but it just did. I have to say I am greatly amazed (triple, triple WOW!!) at how Angela seems to be able to keep throwing out top class thrillers. Anyone who read my review of Evil Games (book 2) knew I (thought!) had found my book of 2015. However, with a month to go Anglea has only gone and topped that with another fantatstic novel. This author sure knows how to spin a story into an unforgettable thriller, with twists and turns galore to back up the suspense which was just relentless. Being a local to the area, I could literally place the story in my mind and follow every scene and know exactly how it looked.

This book seemed to focus more on developing Kim and Dawson. With Kim getting out of her comfort zone to try and bring home two abducted 9 year olds and the mother of one of the girls happens to be a part of Kim's life from her youth in a children's home. We also get to see an insight into Dawson's younger life and how easily it is to be manipulated into joining a gang. As always Bryant was there to help Kim stay on track. Sometimes I see him as her conscience in helping keep others on side.

And the ending was just absolutely brilliant. Whilst I saw the fate of what happened to Suzie before the book reveal I had absolutely no clue about one of the antagonists. I have even searched back through my mind since finishing the book last night and just can't even put my finger on any clue or hint that was in the book.

And at last I think romance may be on the cards for DI Stone!!! :)

This can be read as a stand alone book but I would highly recommend you read this series from the beginning just to get the background on Kim's character.

All in all, I feel that 5 stars dos not do ths book justice since I gave book 1 and 2 the same rating and each time the series just gets better. Fingers crossed Angela that this continues for the remaining novels. I for one am eagerly awaiting the release of book 4.
