For starters, I found this book to be almost deceiving. When I first looked at the cover I would have assumed there was a FMC. But at the same time after reading the synopsis it was refreshing to have a MMC. The story itself was interesting but as a whole I found it to be very slow. The characters I felt were ok, I wish I had felt more of a connection to them. The world building was also something I wanted more of. Mainly, I wish there was a map. Though the climax was a shock, it didn’t sway my feelings about the other parts of the book.
