Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley

5.0

I have so many feelings. It's been a long time since a book made me have this volume of feelings. There was a part where I was genuinely sCREAMING. This book was a rollercoaster in the best way and I never knew where the mystery was going to end up, which was fantastic for me.

There are so many great things about this book -- the way that Daunis's knowledge and learning of her culture, as well as her family, informs all her decisions and her thought process (the book is written in first person). The tension and relationship between Jamie and Daunis??? So good.

Also unexpected, don't hate the messenger, but this book is lowkey historical :D. Almost there. It's set in 2004. LOL.

Adding this one to my all time faves shelf tbh.
