the novel is very literary and very intense. i just wasn’t drawn into a lot of the characters. i HATED hazel, but i thought that what it had to say was very interesting. the entire discussion surrounding the death penalty and the choices we make both informing and being informed by the people we are was extremely interesting and thought provoking.
