Notes on an Execution by Danya Kukafka

5.0

this book does exactly what it should be doing with the subject matter. it diminishes the men, brings to light the women who suffer the fate these men create for them. the men are not unnaturally smart or cunning with a master plan, sometimes they are just men who harm because they are weak or sad or missing something. i thought this was both expertly handled and written. despite the dark tones, we were encouraged to remember the women in the story for who they were and who they could have been. the topics of incarceration, morality, and justice were really well done as well. HIGHLY recommend.
