The Color of Dragons by Erika Lewis, R.A. Salvatore

3.0

I waffles between 3 and 4 stars. It probably falls in the middle just because of the ending.

Firstly, dragons. Sold. Secondly, the writing was really well done, as well as world building. I loved the evolving relationships in this. The siblings from the north were an interesting dynamic that I wanted to see more of.

But there were 10 loose ends that needed to be tied together, and it felt as if the authors tied up 2 and acted as if that was enough, and then ended the book with a major cliff hanger. Literally, the very last word throws you for a complete loop.

Rude.
