A fantastical conclusion to a magical duology.
One Dark Window took me by surprise. When I first started reading it, I didn't know what I was in for, and quickly fell head over heels.
What I've always liked best about this was the magic cards, which Rachel Gillig greatly expands upon in Two Twisted Crowns. The first 20/30% were a punch in the gut. The last 20% had my heart in knots of barbed wire.
Weaved in beautiful prose and lush imagery, Two Twisted Crowns tells a tale of pain, hope, love, and forgiveness.
