beautiful writing, exquisite metaphors and descriptions but disappointing twist and end. the diversity in characters was refreshing but sometimes a little too superficial. i also wish this book would have been about witchcraft 100%. loved the gothic atmosphere and depiction of mental illness. frustrated with the plot overall.
