This book was really great.I struggled to put it down and devoured it in two sittings. Sure, some of the characters aren't as fleshed out as I might have liked, some of them kinda felt like the author was ticking a diversity box but I loved them all the same. I've heard some people criticize Benji for being annoying or whiny but I just put that down to his youth. I really would have liked to get to know some of the background characters a little better but I think that was my main gripe to be honest.
Mostly I just think books like this one are so important for queer youth. I think if books like this had been around when I was a young adult I might have made peace with myself a lot earlier :)
Reading Compound Fracture next and very much looking forward to some more Andrew Joseph White :)
