Ok... I have a lot to say about this book.

I took the quizzes and was surprised to find that I am apparently a Lion. So I started to employ some of the Lion practices. I will first say, that I wish to highlight I only did some because the book goes into way to much detail about when I should have sex (also depends on your partner's sleep chronotype), when I should ask for a raise (also depends on your boss's chronotype... like I care), when to take a shit (ok, this one isn't really there but it gets down to this level of ridiculous detail).

Our routines and daily schedules are influenced by so much more than just how we sleep best. I will say that by forcing myself to get up a little earlier, I have found that I have more energy during the day and I do sleep much better at night (before reading this book I was tossing and turning a lot). So it has brought me some benefits.

One of my main issues is that in the version of the book I read, it mentioned that your sleep chronotype was in your DNA and couldn't be changed throughout your life. However, on his website (I took the quiz again... still a Lion) he mentions that your sleep chronotype CAN change throughout your life. This makes more sense to me because as a teenager and college student... I was definitely a wolf.

His suggestion to exercise in the afternoon instead of the mornings in order to provide an energy boost during my hours of energy slump was insightful. I had previously thought I should get exercise over with in the mornings when I was bursting with energy but instead I've directed that energy towards my brain power tasks of learning a new language and brainstorming writing ideas, editing... which has helped my productivity immensely.

However, as far as when I should take vitamins, etc. that's a little too rigid for me. So my best advice is to find your sleep chronotype and make some of the broader changes, not every single thing.
