This book is like nothing I've ever read before. Shane has a unique writing style that draws you in and keeps you gripped, and you're pulled along through incredibly raw and real experiences of fear, trauma and struggles with mental illness. I could feel Shane's experiences shining through, and my heart ached in several places. The fantasy element feels almost surreal, with the cosmic and mystical angels and demons feeling somehow real and imaginary at the same time. I feel genuinely moved and affected by this book, in the best way.
