I loved this book!! Hear me out, it's not perfect and there were a lot of things that felt thrown into the plot yet left underdeveloped or incomplete BUT the story as a whole was entertaining. I'm a sucker for a happily ever after and while it was not the most realistic... I can look past it because I loved Ramón and Julieta as a couple! The family values and community unity was the cherry on top.
Likes: Mexican representation, forbidden love trope, Romeo and Juliet retelling, dual POV, steamy scenes, music and song references, discussions on cultural identity and gentrification
Dislikes: Ramón's dad, the power imbalance between R and J, there were definitely some cheesy and cringe moments
