The Wolf and the Woodsman by Ava Reid
Did not finish book. Stopped at 35%.
I kept trying The Wolf and the Woodsman with the hopes that if I just read a few more chapters, it would hook me. The world-building was cool and very immersive. I also liked the enemies-to-lovers dynamic teased between Évike and Gáspár. The writing style just didn't click for me; it skewed really similar and metaphor heavy, particularly in the middle of action-packed scenes, and kept me from feeling like I could sink into the story.
Graphic: Self harm
Moderate: Violence, Death of parent, and Death
Minor: Child abuse
