Somehow a beach-lit thriller, this genre-bender manages to combine "girl abandons her life to sail to a deserted island with her boyfriend and two rich girls" with "island with history of cannibalism slow boils into a nightmare." Some undercurrents of class commentary and feminism, this was a decent sunny paradise buildup with a steady buildup of storm clouds as the island's mysteries grew.
