Real Self-Care: A Transformative Program for Redefining Wellness by Pooja Lakshmin

Could have been an email! Redundant, unsupported, and common understandings. I’d like to count all the times she mentioned she was part of a cult as if that helps to certify her credentials or convince the reader to trust her perspective. She had to tell her audience that she intended to be inclusive with her writing all while spending 80% of the book giving examples from a very specific lifestyle and tax bracket. Universally we can all agree that setting boundaries is a good thing, that community and support are important and that your core values are your core values for a reason and your daily life should reflect that. If you just wore your core values out on the weekend like a nice cocktail dress they wouldn’t be your core values they’d be an accessory as you don’t care to embrace the values as a true basic to the building blocks of your individuality. See I can fluff too!
