Dopamine Nation: Finding Balance in the Age of Indulgence
by Anna Lembke
hopeful
inspiring
reflective
fast-paced
This book is far more focused on the stories of people with addictions and their recovery, with an eye towards the dopamine system and it's roll played. You learn a bit about dopamine, and even get a little help with "detoxing" from addictive, dopamine activities, but it doesn't offer any wider solution or story about the nation and our general addictedness to various substances, behaviors, or circumstances. A decent read, but not what I imagined from the title.
