I loved this book to death. I was looking for a quick romance read as I’m very behind on my 100 book reading book reading goal for this year and this book went above and beyond my goal. Sure I stayed up till 1 to read it (a reasonable time for a book tbh), but it was only a few hours.  I started it and finished it today. I also finished another book today so I’ve been truly very productive. Not to mention that this is my second time travel book in a row and I NEVER read time travel. But it worked for this book. Again. Now to get onto the actual story, I LOVED the characters. Barrett was a gem who became a better person through the book. But I always personally liked her sarcastic side. Miles was the sweetest guy ever. Unexpected from the beginning but he truly stole my heart with Barrett’s. If we’re going to be real, I cried when they made love for the first time. Like actual sobbing tears. I know that seems odd but as a person who hides their insecurities but actually just wants someone to love her for who she is, I loved how the whole scene played out. It was very different than the usual smut I read in books of course but it worked so well for the story. Barrett got her insecurities out of the way and trusted Miles. He cherished her all the same. I just love their love so much. It didn’t feel rushed. It was gradual and realistic and just so sweet. That’s all I have to say. I love how the other conflicts played out in this book and that’s about it. The time travel parts got a bit boring (the reason for 4.5) but the book as an entirety was just so good.
