Everyone in This Room Will Someday Be Dead by Emily Austin

4.0

I think this book was exactly what I needed to read at this point in my life, when anxiety can easily overcome me and make me feel like a stranger in my own body. I wish there was something more, though. I guess I was expecting something more aligned with The Bell Jar, or as witty as My Year of Rest and Relaxation, but the prose is neither lyrical nor funny and it just kinda made me sad. And maybe that is the point. But all in all a solid read that is poignant and captivating!
