LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!!! The reason it isn’t getting 5 stars is because I don’t like David that much as a love interest for Stevie. I think that her and Nate would be much better, like she tells him “I just think you get me”, and yet she doesn’t like him. The author clearly knew that people would ship them with how much friend-zoning she did between them before the silent dance.
Even Janelle and her would be cute together. I get that she was getting jealous because she wanted a friend but it could be interpreted in a different way.
Also Vi was referred to with she/her pronouns a couple times after Janelle corrected her. Yes I do get that people make mistakes but it’s also a book, in her inner thoughts (that the author wrote!!) she can correctly refer to them.
I saw people trashing how none of the mysteries get solved and how it ends on a cliffhanger but I love that part. I also guessed who David’s dad was and people were also mad that they could guess it?! Like the point of a mystery book is for you to try to guess it while reading.
I feel like I have said a lot of negative things about the book but I truly do love it!!!!
