There are a few things that let me down in this third book. First, i feel like the ending is very rushed. There are some loose ends and some details that deserved more light:
But regardless, this book, this whole series, despite being predictable still managed to be entertaining. I felt like I was a child again, reading stories about princes and princesses, who, in the end will get their happy ending.
The plot of the whole series in general is not complex, Kierra Cass is not trying to create a complex distopian world for her characters. Instead, she focused on the storyline, the dramas, the feelings. I never aknowledged the fact that, sometimes, I just need a good plain old prince and princess love story. This whole series felt like a break between the heavy reading that I seem to be drawn into lately.
Althought this entertained me, i decided to leave the series there. I know there are two other books in the series but I feel like I got the closure I needed from Maxon and America.
