Black Food: Stories, Art, and Recipes from Across the African Diaspora by Bryant Terry

4.0

I picked this up expecting a cookbook with some stories but not expect the breadth of this book. More than just a cook book - although they had a great range of recipes and cooking styles and amazing pictures, but the essays on food and culture and the art and the look at the bigger influences on food. Loved that there was a queer section and even that there were some non food recipes.
