AH. I will be processing my emotions about this until the next book drops lol. As much as it pains me to see these characters (whom I LOVE) go through some wild shit, I’m enthralled by their stories.
I feel like Onyx Storm has a better flow to it than Iron Flame — it felt tighter and more authentic at times (as authentic as dragons get teehee). I loved seeing more of many side characters too.
The bond between each rider and their dragon is unique to them, and it’s beautiful, and often times, funny af, to witness. The disability representation and casually-included queer characters are mint. KILLER last line, btw.
Still, the first in the series is unbeatable to me, etched in my gooey lil heart forever x
I’m VERY excited to see how their journeys pick up in the next book!!!
