The Grace Year by Kim Liggett

5.0

“The things we do to girls.”

Ooof. This book sat so tense and visceral in my gut. What a stunning start to June’s reading list. “The Grace Year” feels like a Handmaid’s Tale Hunger Games twisted love child in the most wonderful horrifying possible way.

As a woman living in this world, despite the alternate universe-dystopian world feel, this book felt all too possible—all too real. The gutting richness and horrible taste this book left in my mouth was a powerful firestarter in my soul.

5 glowing stars. Could not recommend any higher.
