Writing this a week after finishing the book because you need that much time to sit with it haha. It's truly a stunning depiction of anxiety and depression. From the very beginning I was feeling so seen, and it had me sobbing through portions of the middle and end. It's definitely slow paced in that there's little plot to move through, but the short vignette style makes it very easy to read (I think it propels you onto the next one whereas a wall of text I could see myself zoning out).

The ending was disappointing in a couple of directions, but in a way that I just went "oh...okay I guess" and continued to think about how good the rest of the book was. Still a five star book for me. It's the kind of thing I would be hesitant to recommend to anyone who didn't already want to read it. If you relate it will wreck you, and that's fine if you're in a good place to handle it, but could be a lil dangerous if you're not. I'm glad I did it as a buddy read because it's a book that's hard not to talk about.
