this was probably the most exciting installment of the series in my opinion
as usual, i liked being able to read about maxon and america's budding relationship, but still think a lot of their problems could be solved through simple communication. in particular, THAT moment with aspen was taken way out of proportion and could have been resolved if maxon had simply been willing to listen to america, but i guess we also get the "break my heart a thousand times" line because of it so you win some, you lose some.
i also enjoy the friendship aspect of this book, where the girls bond a lot more through their designated tasks but also how they become more transparent in their feelings about each other and maxon as the story goes on. one of my favorite parts of the whole story is getting to witness their interactions with queen amberly and how she starts to grow close to all of them, especially america.
the ending made me soooo upset because of celeste and queen amberly. i will never forgive kiera cass for that.
