Mistborn: The Wax and Wayne Series: by Brandon Sanderson

Actually prefer this series to the original Mistborn series. The scale is definetely smaller and it has a western vibe that will not be for everyone. Loved seeing how the magic system evolves 300 years later with guns and twinborns. Wayne is such a great character and I love the bromance he has with Wax.
