This book was fine. It felt like eating a salad when I wanted a burger, filling but not great. I felt my mind drifting a lot of the time because I just wasn’t invested in the storyline or characters that much. It was entertaining, for sure, but it lacked any real depth and investment.
I felt as if a whole lot of nothing happened at the beginning, besides the typical teenage angst. And then all the drama happened at the end of the story. By then, I was simply waiting to see how it ended. I was pretty far removed from the characters and I barely registered the death of one of them.
Overall, this book is slightly underwhelming but it was nice to listen to, even if it were just to pass the time.
